Crystal Cruises’ return to luxury ocean vacations is fast approaching, and when Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony set sail this summer, they will showcase a new Aurora spa. Named after the goddess of dawn, the space will be redesigned and offer sunrise-inspired treatments.
“We cannot wait for our guests to experience the all-new Aurora and wellness offerings onboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity,” said Bernie Leypold, senior vice president of hotel operations. “Our partners at Tillberg Design of Sweden (TDoS) have created gorgeous spaces reflective of energy, light and balance to help our guests truly embrace their most extraordinary self at sea."
In charge of the refresh, the designers are focusing on a light and bright neutral color palette accented by a fiber optic starlight ceiling, salt crystal and silk-brushed slate stone and other organic materials.
“Crystal’s spas have been completely reimagined,” said Iina Forsblom, TDoS partner and cruise design director. “They offer a fresh and welcoming design with new finishes, exquisite materials and a sophisticated color palette to support the new offerings onboard.”
Serenity will have a dozen treatment rooms, while Symphony will have 10, and both will highlight male and female steam rooms, saunas and a soothing relaxation room, as well as a fitness center and a hair salon, where nail and makeup treatments will also be available.
OneSpaWorld will return as the operator of Aurora and will continue to feature its Elemis brand of products. Showcased treatments include an Aurora LED and Cryo Facial Experience for plumping and toning skin, the “Biotec 2.0 The Ultimate Facial” for a youthful appearance, the Aurora Stone Signature Massage and The Chariot of Light LED light therapy treatment.
“We are delighted to rejoin Crystal as their partner in its all-new wellness and beauty journey,” said Leonard Fluxman, executive chairman and CEO of OneSpaWorld. “For more than 20 years, we have been providing onboard guests with innovative spa, fitness and wellness services, and believe Aurora will elevate the spa experience by enhancing the well-being of their guests.”
Fluxman adds that there will be a unique selection of facials and massages exclusively for Crystal employing LightStim LED light therapy technology.
