When MSC Cruises launches its new MSC Seashore in Miami this November, the ship will offer an enhanced set of family-friendly features, including a redesigned children’s area.
“We are constantly developing new, exciting and engaging activities to provide our families with the best entertainment,” said Matteo Mancini, children’s entertainment manager for MSC Cruises, in a press release. “For MSC Seashore, we have taken the family entertainment to a whole new level to please and delight children of all ages.
Our goal is to make sure our younger guests have the time of their life during their holiday vacation.
“Our goal is to make sure our younger guests have the time of their life during their holiday vacation, with not only a completely redesigned,, dedicated space that is the largest on our fleet, but also a set of brand-new activities for even more thrilling adventures. Our secret is to listen to the next generation and design the program according to their up-to-date interests and requirements. In this way, we will always be one step ahead and the ideal choice for them, not only in the cruise industry, but in the entire international vacation offering.”
To start, the Doremiland kids’ club will be the line’s largest in the fleet at 7,567 square feet; it will be divided into six space-themed rooms. Anchoring the facility’s experiences will be the Studio, a multipurpose media room that will be outfitted as a cinema, live television studio and gaming center. Other areas will include the Baby Club for toddlers up to 3 years old; the Mini Club and Juniors Club for children ages 3 to 11; and the Young Club and Teen Club for 12- to 17-year-olds, (now featuring an all-new interactive Teens Lab).
In terms of activities, the TLS Teens Late Show will be hosted in the Studio from 10:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., with everything from guest stars to prizes. During days at sea, families can look forward to the MSC Music Game, a show with team challenges for the whole family, in Seashore’s main theater.
Elsewhere, signature partnerships will continue, including Chicco: Baby Club and The Lego Experience. The former will tout Chicco Eco + products including toys made with 80% recycled plastic or 67% organic and recycled plastic. Classic Lego bricks will be available in children’s spaces for kids ages 3 to 11, and The Lego Experience will be an entire day dedicated to Lego-themed activities.
Additionally, MSC has even put together “Doremiland, The Documentary,” a film showcasing all the behind-the-scenes fun of the kids’ programming over the past five years. Also, the line’s original series, “Cabin 12006,” will expand to a live onboard experience with seven different activities, including game shows.
Rounding out the family options on Seashore will be the MSC Dance Crew competition for 10- to 17-year-olds; the MSC Fire & Ice live reality game for all ages; and the Dorebro Sports program and “Cyclone” family event.
