Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is updating its Uniworld University online travel advisor education program with a new course for this year, aptly titled “New for 2022.”
“With another exciting year ahead for Uniworld, working together with our travel advisor partners remains a top priority,” said Ellen Bettridge, CEO and president of Uniworld. “We have designed our courses to be engaging and dynamic, providing our advisors all the necessary information needed to confidently sell to their clients. We are very grateful for these partnerships and look forward to another year of spectacular Uniworld trips with their clients onboard.”
“New for 2022” focuses on what customers can expect onboard this year, and after completing the class, advisors can take advantage of a special discounted rate of up to 60% off 2022 sailings.
Specifically, the course brings advisors up to speed on Uniworld’s expanded lineup of Cruise & Rail itineraries, one of which is a rail-only option on the famed Trans-Siberian Express, as well as Milan, Venice & Istanbul and Castles of Transylvania & The Enchanting Danube. Also highlighted is the line’s newest Dutch Delight route, in addition to unique “Nights Out” shore excursions, social impact-driven “Make Travel Matter” experiences and special Floriade Exposition itineraries.
To find the new course, agents should register at www.uniworlduniversity.com; they can also access the entire TTC Agency Academy platform, which also offers training and tools for Trafalgar, Contiki and Insight Vacations. Hosted on Litmos, the platform can also be navigated from the SAP Litmos mobile app, where entering www.thetravelcorporation.litmos.com starts the process.
With Uniworld University, travel advisors can earn continued education credits through Cruise Lines International Association and The Travel Institute.
Bid on Cabin Upgrades and Earn Additional Commission
In other news from Uniworld, the river cruise line’s Category+ program allows guests to bid on potential cabin upgrades ahead of their sailing.
Utilizing Plusgrade upgrading technology, upcoming passengers can browse and plan an offer on staterooms and suites that are still available and in a higher category than was initially reserved. Guests can bid on several cabins to increase their chances. They will only pay for an upgrade if the bid is accepted; if the booking was originally made with a travel advisor, that agent will get commission on the additional amount.
“At Uniworld, we’re always looking for new ways to elevate our guests’ river cruise experience,” Bettridge said. “We’re thrilled to be the first river cruise line to work with Plusgrade in providing an upgrade program of this nature. Our new Category+ stateroom program will give our guests an opportunity to add even more luxury to their vacation at a price point of their choosing, risk-free.”
