AmaWaterways recently introduced its new AmaDahlia for Egyptian river cruises, but the line is not stopping there. The company will be adding a second ship to its regional roster for 2024; the Nile River vessel will be named AmaLilia, “after the sacred blue water lily flower of ancient Egypt,” according to the line.
"It is incredibly exciting to be able to expand our river cruise offerings on the legendary Nile River with AmaLilia, which will be another stunning, intimate ship,” said Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-founder of AmaWaterways. “Egypt is one of the most fascinating destinations in the world and we’ve seen such wonderful interest from both our loyal guests, as well as new guests since we launched our first ship there in September 2021. We look forward to welcoming even more travelers to join us to experience the ancient wonders of Egypt.”

To meet increased demand in the area, AmaLilia will embark on the same 11-night Secrets of Egypt & Nile cruise and land itinerary as AmaDahlia, featuring a seven-night sailing roundtrip from Luxor and pre- and post-cruise nights in Cairo.
Like AmaDahlia, AmaLilia will feature a regionally inspired design including roomy cabins and suites, as well as a complimentary specialty restaurant onboard.
More information about the new ship will be coming in the near future.
