When Silversea Cruises’ new Silver Dawn launches tomorrow, April 1, it will debut the luxury line’s new Otium spa facility in addition to its previously revealed wellness programming. Otium is inspired by the ancient Roman lifestyle of balanced indulgence, pampering and pleasure.
“With Otium, our guests will enjoy the next iteration of Silversea’s trademark level of comfort, as part of an innovation in wellness at sea,” said Barbara Muckermann, Silversea’s chief commercial officer. “Thoughtfully designed with Otium in mind, Silver Dawn’s reimagined spa offers guests unprecedented comfort — enhanced with Roman-inspired art pieces, elegant furnishings and a curated Otium treatment menu. Starting in suites with dedicated balcony, bathing and sleeping experiences, before intensifying in the beautiful Otium Spa, and extending through the ship with unforgettable moments of pleasure, the Otium wellness journey has been designed to pamper our guests like never before.”

At the spa, Mediterranean-inspired treatments such as The Otium and The Apollonian Spirit will await in addition to hydrothermal experiences, a soothing relaxation room and panoramic outdoor area.
At approximately 2,600 square feet, the overall spa space is 118 square feet larger than the one onboard preceding sister ship, Silver Muse. HBA London designed a more seamless layout complete with culinary treats, mood lighting and curated playlists. At the center of it all will be a relaxation room decorated with Roman-inspired art and an infinity water feature that radiates out to treatment rooms, a sizable sauna and a steam room. There will also be a beauty salon, fitness center and Barber salon.
